Welcome to Oakthwaite House in Keswick
David and Karen Faria look forward to welcoming you to their guesthouse. Oakthwaite House is a Victorian town house built c.1876 in a quiet residential area of Keswick, only a five-minute walk from the town centre.
As a small guesthouse we strive to provide a high quality service and seek to offer you a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay.
We have 4 tastefully decorated ensuite rooms, each with their own individual charm and character.
--------- CHECK ROOM AVAILABILITY (click here)--------- We use high quality bed linen and furnishings in all our rooms. Along with the usual compliments tray which includes herbal teas and bottled water, each room has a CD clock radio and a TV/DVD.
We also offer wireless broadband internet access in all rooms*.
The location of our guesthouse in Keswick and in the Lake District National Park makes it an ideal base from which to explore and enjoy the many wonders of the northern Lakes.
Parking is 'on street' and there aren't any restrictions. Unfortunately we do not take pets.
Oakthwaite House is a non-smoking guesthouse.
We generally only accept 'two-or-more night' bookings, and at Bank Holiday weekends, 'three-night' bookings -- Fri., Sat. & Sun.
Please read our
TERMS and CONDITIONS before booking.
If we are full, then please go to the
Keswick Tourism Association website

WAINWRIGHT WALKS
The first Wainwright Walks series with Julia Bradbury was filmed in October 2006 and shown initially on BBC4, then BBC2 in February 2007. Julia and the Skyworks production team stayed at Oakthwaite House during the filming! We were delighted to welcome the Skyworks team again for the next series of Wainwright Walks in May 2007, then again in September 2008 for their latest Coast to Coast series.
"Thanks for looking after us so well. Your superb breakfasts set us up for a hard day on the fells!"
